Oh Zurich, you are so pretty! Shutters, flowers, cobblestone walkways, lake views, snow capped mountains… Zurich Switzerland is the definition of picturesque. This is the easiest city I have visited. The train ride from the airport is about 10 minutes and drops you in the heart of the old town. Simply choose a hotel close to the central station, drop off your luggage and start exploring!

Zurich Switzerland: 24 Hour Itinerary
Zurich is an easy city to navigate, most sights are within walking distance. The Limmat River divides the old town. Church steeples and clock towers are easy to spot throughout the city and keep you oriented. Use this google map to explore city sights and print this simple city map to make notes on.
Food in Zurich is expensive, but water is free! There are over 1,200 fountains throughout the city to refill your water bottle. Try the cheese fondue at Swiss Chuchi and the chicken cordon bleu at Zeughauser Beer Hall. Be sure to splurge on chocolate and macaroons as you wander the old town. If you enjoy exploring museums, Zurich has over 150! Consider purchasing a Zurich Card; it will cover admission to many museums, dessert at many restaurants, and transportation in the city including a boat ride on the lake and the train ride to and from the airport.
