I love hillside cities and having trams is always a plus. Would love to explore Lisbon on foot and wander to exhaustion. The idea of ending a day with a Fado performance sounds wonderful too.

Lisbon looks like a fun city to take a short break in. You’ve certainly packed a lot of things in this 48-hour itinerary! I think touring the monastery and visiting the Jardin de Paca do Imperio would be so fun to do, as well as riding the Ascensor da Bica.

I have been reading and hearing so much about Portugal that I can’t wait to be there. Excellent photo ops, delicious food, and so much to do ! Couldn’t have my platter more full than this.

I haven’t been, but was recently talking about maybe going soon. Great to know the metro price. Lisbon looks beautiful.

Yes. I stayed at the 7 Hotel. Anywhere on those surrounding couple of streets will not be uphill
