The pretty pastel homes, the winding streets and a river as well.

Thank you for the tip of a hotel near Porto Sao bento station. It does sound like the convenient and clever place to base yourself. Glad to know that Mercado do Bolhao is the place to go to sample some Portuguese food.

I’d love to stroll along the river or chill on a terrace with a view over the river with a glass of wine in my hand. I haven’t been to Portugal yet but it’s on my list. I love the look of the city Porto, will have to include it in my itinerary for sure!

After reading this I would want to allot myself longer than 48 hours to visit such an interesting city. Love that there’s a tram to the beach, but the cable car to the Wine Cave may be the real winner. Just the idea of a cave full of wine sounds intriguing!
