I’ve been to Canyonlands NP twice and both were in the summertime. We visited late in the afternoon and surprisingly not too many people around. There were only one other family at Mesa Arch! But I want to go back in the fall or spring to spend longer times and do more hikes.

Its a shame that I have never heard of Canyonlands National Park before. The scenery looks spectacular and there are so many walks and hikes I would want to go. I will surely ensure I plan either during spring or autumn. Even though I would love to do the mountain biking, I have never done it till now and would be a bit nervous.

We have always wanted to visit but the plan did not really materialize. Thank you for sharing the best time to visit. Hopefully, we find time next fall. I really have to explore all this fantastic National Parks in the US. I love the red rocks of the Canyonlands National Park. HIking, canoing and biking there would be such an experience!

This is indeed a very comprehensive guide for the Canyonlands National Park. I love it that you give a lot of practical information, besides describing the beautiful scenery of the park. How scary to read there is quicksand in Horse Canyon, Lavender Canyon, and Peekaboo Canyon. Wow, I hope there are warning signs around. We have friends in Utah and are planning to visit them for Christmas. Maybe we could take a tour of this park while we are there. Thanks for sharing this post.

The landcsape is mindblowing. And to think of driving through this–it is an experience of a lifetime. I would certainly like to take a canoe ride in the Colorado river. Mountain biking would also be a new experience.
