I love waterfalls and good to see that there are so many beautiful waterfalls are there in North Carolina. Dupont State Recreational Forest really is a beautiful place and also there are triple falls too. It must be great to see all 3 falls here. Pisgah National Forest which is at 40 minutes from Asheville has interesting falls – looking glass falls. Thanks for all information and tips.

All these falls look so mesmerizing. I can imagine how the scene would be in fall. 150 ft High fall must be very picturesque in real. I loved the bridal fall picture. Can imagine how breath taking it must be. Added straight to my list whenever I get to travel next to USA. Thankyou for the detailed list

I live right above in VA, and I definitely need to explore NC more. I had NO IDEA that there were so many lovely waterfalls. Such a gorgeous place to be! The parkway and nature in both VA and NC are unparalleled IMHO! 🙂

This is a must-visit. It has been a while since we went hiking so, I think a trip to the Pisgah National Forest is a great idea. Thank you for the tip regarding the life jacket since I am not really a strong swimmer.

I wasn’t aware that North Carolina had such a reputation for waterfalls – but I can see why now. The Mountain Waters Scenic Byway sounds like the perfect day out – and the gorges with the waterfalls something to really thoroughly enjoy, what a great suggestion. I wasn’t aware that Triple Falls was movie famous either, but looking at the photos it did seem very familiar.

A lot of people have suggested Chase Credit Card. Definitely looks like a great choice. I will look into it.
My friend recently moved to North Carolina for her studies and chasing the waterfalls there sounds like an amazing thing to do and I’m gonna suggest this to her. Hiking trails and 250 waterfalls? Wow! That’s a lot and that’s awesome! Drive under a veil of water falling 40 feet? Whoa! That sounds impeccable!

Spending a day chasing waterfalls sounds like my kind of trip. Also I actually think I remember the scene in Last of the Mohicans that you are talking about! I had no idea North Carolina had so many waterfalls and swimming holes!

As a waterfall fan, I add your post to my list. I love taking photos of waterfalls. And North Carolina is still on my list, so I will definitely be including waterfalls on my road trip. You provide such great tips on how to plan a trip. I had no idea that there are as many as 250 waterfalls in this state. High Falls, Triple Falls, and Hooker Falls looks great. I would love to see Bridal Veil Falls, Dry Falls, and Cullasaja Falls too.
