As a toddler mom, I’m always a big fan of daytrips. It is easier always than packing for an overnight stay and making sure my gal would be comfortable wherever we’re staying. Antelope Canyon would be my top pick! As a history buff, Wupatki national monument and Montezuma Castle National Monument would be my 2nd & 3rd picks! Thanks for this perfect list!

Oh my! It seems like you can see SO much heading out from Flagstaff. I’ve never been to the Grand Canyon or Sedona, but I did pop into Phoenix when I was in Mesa. I need to head out that way and explore more – the natural sites are so amazingly beautiful!

Wow! I did not realize there are so much spectacular views in Arizona. We haven’t been in this side of the country but we’d love to visit in the future. The Antelope Canyon is fascinating. It’s nice to know that there are tours available making the visit easier.

I have never heard of Flagstaff Arizona but some of the day trips you mention have been on my bucket list for a long time. Grand Canyon, Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon are places I really want to visit, but it seems like there’s quite a lot more to do in the area. Montezuma Castle National Monument looks quite interesting as well!

Oh my God the places around Arizona looks stunning. I have always wanted to visit the canyons and the national parks there especially for its hiking trails. I did not know that it had so many places. I will definitely plan this side of US someday and spend a few weeks there. Thanks for this list.

Flagstone looks like such a cute town, but those day trips definitely would tear me away. Beyond the popular destinations, there there several I hadn’t heard of before that look interesting – Sunset Crater or Winslow. With so many options you are definitely not short on things to do in the area.

I love Flagstaff and have been to this town several times. And I agree that it is a great base for day trips around Arizona. Your list is impressive. I’ve been to most of these places. My favorites are the Grand Canyon and Sedona. I haven’t been to Jerome yet, but I aad it to my plan for my next trip, as I love wild west and old copper mining towns.

We definitely have plans to return to Arizona when we can. And several of these spots would definitely be on our plans. We missed both Vermillion Cliffs and Antelope Canyon on our last visit. And the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument would definitely be worth a visit. So many great outdoor spots to fill the days.
