I am local living in Bucharest.
I wish you had more photos especially parks.
Contrary to many opinions Bucharest is an OK city.

I’ve been to Bucharest, Brasov, Bucegi, Bacau, and Bran a number of times, and contrary from the generally accepted view of “pickpockets” “thieves” etc, I’ve actually felt more safe than I feel at home in the UK. The Romanian language is also beautiful and fluid and especially musical when spoken by a female. The cities are insanely interesting, a mix of communist decay, and Austrio-Hungarian architecture. Romania is simply a stunning place to go to. They do seem a little obsessed with placenames beginning with ‘B’ though.

Beautiful photos! Being a political buff, it was on my bucket list to see the Palace of Parliament and I was glad to experience that a couple years ago. The architecture, food and nightlife of Bucharest make it a very worthwhile city to visit.

Brasov is a fantastic town as well. My wife and I loved it and hope to return to Romania in the future. Great job with your post and being part of that blogger group!

Romania is not on the top of the list for most of the travelers and I am happy to know that a lot of travel bloggers are heading there! Who wouldn’t want to see where Dracula lived, right? Haha.

I have always wanted to visit Bucharest. People told me the same silly things you read about, that there were pickpockets and crime etc. Well I can see from your post that Bucharest is just as beautiful as I always thought it would be! There may be crime, but I also saw a lot of crime, trash and beggars in Paris and that’s a bucket list city for people so…. (I love Paris though)
