I am a museum person and I would love to begin with checking out the history of the Smokey Mountains at the Glenn Cardwell Heritage Museum. Also, I am tempted to check out the 20,000 pairs of shakers at the Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum. Chasing Rainbows Museum and interactive Titanic Museum sounds so much fun too. Souvenier shopping would be fun but also the scenic drives, mountain overlooks, waterfalls, ziplining, white water rafting, etc. Indeed, there is so much to do at the great Smokey mountains.

The Great smokey mountains is a wonderful place to visit in Tennessee. We remember riding an alpine slide in Gatlinburg and eating caramel popcorns down the streets of the city and of course living in a cozy log cabin uphill. It’s so much like Switzerland.Brings back wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing!

I have wanted to visit the Great Smokey Mountains for a while but I haven’t had chance yet. There is so much to do I think I will need a while there, I certainly want to cross the skybridge, take the chairlift and do the ziplining. I also want to go to the titanic museum and see the dolly parton dinner show.

Sounds like a wonderful area. Anywhere that is described as offering scenic drives, mountain vistas, and waterfalls gets my attention. Not to mention a covered bridge or too. Sounds like Great Smokey Mountains is a hidden gem of America.

When we visited The Smokey’s for a day trip, we didn’t get a chance to stop at Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. However, we drove through both towns, and I could feel the strong vacation vibes there. Next time we go there, I want to walk the SkyBridge and watch the lumberjack show at Paula Deen’s. Also, have lunch at the restaurant.
