I do not know of longer trails, it is a small park. I would suggest combining Kodachrome with a hike to nearby Willis Slot Canyon.

They do occur at specific times, the website has up-to-date dark sky information.

It was interesting to learn that the name Kodachrome originated from a Kodak film by a National geographic writer. Such a beautiful landscape of the park. I am always attracted to the red colored hilly terrain and raises my desire to visit some day. Love all your tips.

I had never heard of Kodachrome before this. Interesting to know how it got its name. Loved reading about the facts of this place – about the water pipes. You mentioned meteor showers can be seen here – are they frequent?

I love the mountains and rocks in Kadachrome Basin State Park. First time that I have seen pictures of this Park. Do you know if there are any longer trails in the park?

Calling it a colourful national park is totally justified as Kodachrome Basin State Park looks amazing. I had never heard of Kodachrome Basin State Park till date which is surprising as I definitely would love visiting this national park and walk on the trails. I will remember the rattlesnakes and scorpions.

It’s quite interesting to know that the park was named after a Kodak film. I have seen a meteor shower once in the desert in India. I hope I get to see it in this park too someday. Geological regions are almost surreal and I am so fascinated by them.

Kodachrome basin State Park is a wonderful place for trekking and camping. The video clipping also gives glimpses of the panoramic views of the ochre and chrome colored cliffs. Thank you so much for sharing! I would love to visit this place.

We did a lot of travel in Utah and are very sorry that we never to to see the Kodachrome Basis State Park. I love the idea of seeing all of those multi-coloured rocks. And interesting rock formations. It sounds like there are several hikes that we would want to do. And a horseback ride might be a fun addition too. Although I will be on the outlook for dangerous creatures.
