When I think of the Navajo area, in my head I see these red rocks, valley littered with stones and spires, and of course the dramatic landscape. I also have this weird far-fetched thought of encountering a lone star ranger (just like in the movies! :). I wonder how this vast place looks like in the different seasons of the year.

We visited Monument Valley many years ago, when we went on a road trip through Arizona. It’s an absolutely astounding park with a very rich history. We hired a local guide who drove us around and told us lots of story about the place. There are quite a few things to do near Monument Valley, but we only enjoyed the horseshoe bend view from Goosenecks State Park.

Wow! I did not realize there is so much to see and do in Monument Valley. Will take your advice and make sure to try Navajo Taco. It would be nice join some tours too. I am keen to explore the caves. Bookmarked this post for future reference.

Monument valley, Navajo park is such a surreal place with vistas of red sandstone pillars. Nice to know that it was the shooting location for blockbuster movies.
The video of Monument valley is tempting and I want to visit it.
