It’s an excellent guide for people planning their first trip to the Olympic National Park. You provide interesting facts about the park, its area, and the date of its creation. I had no idea that Lake Cresent is so clear it is possible to see 60 feet deep. Waterfalls and rainforests are breathtaking in this park. Great tips on what to pack, as well.

Thanks for this complete plan for Olympic National Park. It’s so beautiful. The Lake Crescent looks mesmerizing especially with its bluish water. Would love to do some Salmon fishing and admire the age old trees and their roots. Wonderful experience it would be.

I haven’t been to Olympic NP, so this guide will come in handy. I like that it has waterfalls, too, not just hiking trails. I didn’t know that part of Return of the Jedi was filming here, but after looking at the picture from Hoh Rainforest, the scene from the movie was back.

The Olympic national park is such an exotic place with rich biodiversity. The Hoh and the Quainault rainforest, the dead tree stumps and the loops over lakes creates a perfect location for hiking and camping. Nice to know that the Forks is the location for the famous twilight series. I would love to watch the Salmon swim upstream at salmon cascades, explore tide pools at kalaloch beach and watch the whales migrate at Juan de Fuca.

Wow! Olympic National Park is crammed full of activities. A day or two is insufficient to fully explore the park. This itinerary is now at the top of my travel bucket list. Thank you also for the advice; I’ve already taken note of it.

In my many trips to the US I’ve visited a few of the wonderful National Parks but have to confess I didn’t know about the Olympic National Park. Especially as it’s the 6th most popular in the US and offers such a range of habitats to enjoy. I’d love to see the salmon swim upriver and whalewatching too.

We have only driven by the Olympic National Park many times but never planned a visit. I like the idea of planning a longer visit and staying close by. It looks like there are many days of fun activities. Might be fun to visit when lavender is also in season. Need to plan a visit when we are next on the west coast.
