I live in Utah and I have gone to some of these places. But still, I learned a lot from your post. I need to go to Dixie National Forest. I went to Bryce National Park with my husband and kids in 2020. But the kids didn’t want to hike, so we mostly drove and walked around. I am planning of going again this year and adding Dixie. Nice photos, by the way.

Yosemite, next year do a road trip through Utahs Grand Circle and visit all the parks. Have a great adventure!

I know that Utah is home to many beautiful canyons and vistas. But to really grasp the scale and power of these geological wonders, indeed the best way is a road trip. I do love a good road trip because it captures the essence of adventure.

Red Canyon is such an awesome place to visit with the scenic hiking trails and campgrounds.I would love to go fishing in one of the lakes.

love that you focused on the area between the two national parks….too often people just zip between them! Okay I’ve got a gem to add to your list…hike Willis Creek Slot Canyon! You have to wade through a bit of water (or ice depending on the season) but it was a relatively easy and stunning hike!

Thank you for posting this blog post. This is exactly what I was searching for. In summer I’m gonna do a little roadtrip. We only have two weeks, so I really need to decide where I wanna go. So far we’ll visit LA, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, San Franciso and San José and Malibu. I also want to visit Yosemite AND the Red Canyons but we won’t be able to do both. So what would you recommend out of these two?

Thanks to your blog I keep adding American National Parks to my travel wish list. As a rock climber I am fascinated by all sorts of rocks – even if there are no climbing possibilities. Dixie National Forest Red Canyon fits the bill perfectly. I would love to hike the Arches Trail for sure.

I had no idea snow was possible in April in Utah! It makes sense that the summer is the high season for this area, the orange red color of the rock and dust must look amazing!

Dixie forest – and Red canyon is just a small part of it. Now that is an interesting piece of information that makes me curious about the entire place. I love the textures in this part of the forest. 7 mile loop and pink ledges – that does sound interesting.
