The one thing that stood out in all these is finding a village with a scavenger hunt. Sign me up right away. It sounds so much fun and I did click through to figure it out. I even like the idea of a pirate ship around the lake. I love the way this place brings out the treasure hunter in me 😉

There is so much to do in Big Bear lake that probably one would need more than one day certainly. If I had to pick what I wouldn’t miss it would be these. A horse carriage ride, Shopping for souvenirs in the village, a bike ride on the Alpine Pedal Path, Ride the Snow Summit scenic chair lift up the mountain and enjoy the view, cruise the lake on the Miss Liberty Paddlewheel, take a scenic drive on Holcomb Valley Road, take a sunset dinner cruise, rent a boat for tubing or water skiing and certainly walk the suspension bridge. That’s quite a big list already. Beautiful place.

No matter how many times I have been to California I keep finding new spots we have not visited. Big Bear Lake is one for a future trip. Any place with 300+ days of sunshine is my kind of place! I would definitely want to try out the fun activities like the Alpine Slide or a ride in a pirate ship. Music on a patio or a sunset view would be perfect to finish the day. Looks like we would not be bored on a visit!

The history of Bear Lake is very fascinating and it looks like there is plenty to do there. I would love to get out on the lake with a Miss Liberty Paddlewheel or take a ride on the Snow Summit scenic chairlift. The scavenger hunt and glow bowling sounds like a lot of fun to.

The boulders on the shoreline reminded me of Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park in South Dakota. It’s so beautiful! And hiking on the 77 in the summer time, who would say NO? I think kayaking will be a nice way, too, to enjoy the beauty of this area.

It looks like such a great place! I think panning for gold would be extra fun and kitschy because…California! I would like to go on the mountain biking trails – that’s probably what I would do first. Such a great place!

I have been to Big bear lake and loved Kayaking there. But didn’t know that it is a man-made lake. How fascinating! I also loved hiking in the area and Castle rock trail was an amazing experience 😀 Glad to see it in your list!

Who knew there were so many amazing things to do! I would definitely go ziplining, check out the suspension bridge and catch the sunset!
