There are so many wonderful things to do in Big Sur in a day trip. I would love to hike to Salmon Creek Falls. Taking a selfie with the flowers in Calle Lily Valley would be beautiful thing to do here. Good you have given tips on which season to visit and other useful information.

Big Sur is one of my favorite places here in CA. We have been there so many times and there is always new things to do and see. Now that my kids are getting bigger, I really want to take them camping over there and enjoy the nature. Just hoping that summer will come soon. This is a great guide for everyone visiting the area.

Wow a whole lot of options in Big Sur is what excites me. Although difficult to choose my top activities would be the hike to Salmon Creek Falls, seeing the purple sand of Pfeiffer Beach, go tubing on the Big Sur River, hike through the redwoods, watch the sunset at Keyhole Arch Rock, Check out the sea otters at the California Sea Otter Game Refuge, hike to Limekiln Falls and enjoy lunch with a view on the deck of Nepenthe. Thanks for this very informative post with all the tips.

Definitely driving on a Big Sur is one of the things I look forward to do in California. From your suggestion for the best time to do it, I think I have to wait for our son until he goes to college to do it. Haha… But I don’t think I can wait that long. It’s good to know there redwoods at Big Sur State Park.
