It’s called the Guy Fawkes Inn. It’s on High Petergate. If you Google the name you’ll find the website no trouble at all. It’s possible to rent a room there as well. I never did. The last time I was in York, I stayed at the Golden Fleece.

Apparently, the Golden Fleece is the most haunted pub in York. Nothing happened the night I was there, but the guy told me a couple had left the night before.

Presuming what he said was true, the candlestick on the fireplace slid from one side to the other. The wife wanted to stay, but the husband was too scared so they booked out in the middle of the night.

I used to know the city pretty well but it’s been a few years since I was there. I don’t know if you are aware of this, but York is the city where Guy Fawkes was born. The house he lived in is still there. It’s a restaurant now. From what I remember, the food’s pretty good too.

I’d love to climb cathedral’s central towers 275 steps to enjoy amazing views of the city, I love vantage points with great views. Also, York Dungeon is someplace I am definitely going to!
