You’ve covered a good range of activities and places to visit within this 16-day guide. I think it can even cover a month’s itinerary. A day trip to the Avenue of the Giants and the Columbia River Gorge are itineraries I will definitely consider if ever I will adjust the trip.

I pack a lot into a day, but not everything listed as a point of interest. Not enough daylight to take multiple hikes unfortunately

I haven’t been to this part of the country, except Southern California and San Francisco. So, this guide will help me a lot because I’m totally blind with the areas. The pigmy forest sounds interesting. And I didn’t know you can find covered bridges there.

I lived in Seattle Wa for 3 years. The Pacific Northwest is as lovely as you describe it. Northern California and Oregon is half of the story. Wait til you see Washington and Southern British Columbia!

What a detailed guide of your road trip from Northern California to Oregon. That’s quite a full agenda that you did every day, you really did pack in a lot of stuff which I actually love doing. I haven’t done this road trip to those areas so this would be one of my bucket list of places to visit and do some day, maybe with a few less things to see depending on car fatigue, lol.

All these road trips look enchanting! I too prefer back roads which are most often scenic. The Las Vegas sights surely deserve more than a day. The Lava Hot springs of Idaho are tempting me to pack my bags and set off on a journey. I got to know about potato museum for the first time! A very travel inspiring post!

Sadly we have driven in the Pacific Northwest but have not spent the time to plan such a great long road trip around the area. I would love to have time to really enjoy Pygmy forests, sand dunes, covered bridges, waterfalls and the beaches along the route. I would definitely search for puffins at Castle Rock National Wildlife Refuge if we visited at the right time of year. And who would pass on the wineries? I am keeping this post to plan a great road trip in the Pacific Northwest.

The Pacific Northwest looks like an epic road trip. I like that you have split this itinerary on days and also given us an average price per day for this road trip. I also like that this itinerary includes so many suggestions of things to do, for each type of traveller. As someone who loves hiking, I know I will have plenty of opportunities to walk on spectacular trails.
