Thanks so much for sharing this as I really want to visit Zion when I do a big US roadtrip, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later – so much useful information and I didn’t actually know there were 3 campsites in the park so going to have a look at those

Based on your post, it seems a perfect blend for adventure, culture, and relaxation. There are amazing cliffs and incredible diversity of greenery. I’d probably be interested in taking a lot of photos and videos around and visit the Zion Human History Museum.

I’ve never been to Zion, but the more I see/hear about it, the more I realize I need to go! It’s such great advice to not enter the canyon area that’s restricted when it rains. That would be so potentially dangerous!

Thank you for this detailed guide to Zion National Park! I’ve never heard of it before and so everything is useful to me. Tips on bringing your own food and snacks is so important, these places can really overcharge!

Such a great Zion guide for people planning a first-time visit to this park. I love Zion, and it’s one of my favorite parks in Utah. It has fantastic hiking trails. My favorite trails are Angels Landing, the Narrows, and the Subway. I agree that campgrounds are perfect for staying for a night. Also, Springdale is a great town to stay in for the night.

I haven’t been here before, and would love to. So many things to do, from what you’ve highlighted, I would love to do the scenic drive on the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway, hopefully catch a glimpse of some bighorn sheep. Definitely sunset watching from Canyon Junction Bridge or Lava Point would be a must.

Thanks to your blog I keep adding American National Parks to my wish list. The Zion National Park was already on it, but your pictures confirmed my wish to go there. I would try to spend at least two days in the park to have enough time for some of the hikes. Good to know, that fall would be a good season for a visit.

We only spent one day in Zion National Park and it definitely was not enough. We loved having the shuttles to move from spot to spot. We did plan which hikes we wanted in advance. But missed a few spots we would like to enjoy at a more leisurely pace. Although hiking through the water at the Narrows may not be one of them!
